Prophecies from the Puranas
The Puranas are part of the sacred literature of Hinduism and were written in Sanskrit language. Each Purana is supposed to deal with five topics, which are the creation of the Universe, the destruction and re-creation of the Universe, including the history of humankind, the genealogy of the gods and holy sages, the reigns of the Manus, and the history of the lunar and solar dynasties. Though tradition attributes the Puranas to Vyasa, a semi legendary Hindu rishi –sage-, scholars, however regard the Puranas as having been compiled by many hands between the fourth and the sixteenth centuries AD.
Analyzing these prophecies, we come to the fact that they have an astonishing similarity with Christ's prophecies about what Christ called the 'End of Times'. We are very fortunate because at present we are living in a time of an immense change from an era of chaos, confusion and darkness to an era of great Light and spiritual revival.
'All kings occupying the Earth in the Kali Age, which, as I stated before, is our present era where great suffering and spiritual transformation are involved, will be wanting in tranquility, strong in anger, taking pleasure at all times in lying and dishonesty, inflicting death on women, children and cows, prone to take the paltry possessions of others, with character that is mostly tamas –darkness, ignorance-, rising to power and soon falling. They will be short-lived, ambitious, of little virtue and greedy. People will follow the customs of others
